Assigned to spend the night shift with a Los Angeles fire station, television reporter Angela Vidal and her cameraman, go out on a routine 911 call. It takes them to a small apartment building where they find police officers already on the scene in response to blood curdling screams. Something unknown has infected a woman living in the building. After a few of the residents are viciously attacked, the residents of the building, along with the news crew, find that the CDC has quarantined the building. All outside information access has been cut-of, and officials are not relaying information to those locked inside. When the quarantine is finally lifted, the only evidence of what took place is the news crew's videotape.

WOW... what a bad movie. And here's a brief spoiler..... don't use the final scene as your poster/cover art... kinda ruins it...

One word can sum up this movie DUMB. If it was supposed to be scary. It didn’t scare me. I suppose it was meant for adolescent girls 12 and younger.

This is one of the best and most effective documentary style horror movies. An infected/zombie style flick with some legit scares and conveys complete panic and terror after a slow beginning "set up". I watched this prior to watching Rec so I ended up not watching Rec after the first 20 minutes or so because it is practically identical. The camera movement is a bit troublesome at times, but overall a very good horror movie.

Aside from almost 15 minutes of beginning plot setup with 'Angela the fluff news reporter' flirting with firemen, and some mediocre acting throughout, 'The Hotel Zombie... where you check in but you don't check out' was reasonably scary.

better than i gave it credit for however wasn't in the mood. more stable/professional than blair witch but a lot of josseling around with the camera w/flash quick movements for scare factor. good horror or horrific looking mutants.

One of the scarier films I've seen in awhile. Makes use of the whole Blair Witch Project/Cloverfield filming style. Don't expect big budget thrills, but the suspense sneaks up on you if you give it some time and watch it in the dark. The original film is spanish and also very good, but I like this remake better - and usually I despise remakes.

Not scary. Some parts of the movie are really dumb.
