I expected to find some groundbreaking techniques I didn't know and maybe a pattern or two worth making. But I guess I'm a more advanced crocheter than I thought. Great for beginners, not worth it for anything beyond that.

It looks really hard at first, but when you sit down and actually start crocheting with the book to guide you, it gets easy pretty fast. I checked this book out with no prior crochet experience, and now I can crochet very well.
Don't be intimidated by the instructions when you're browsing.
