An interesting 300 page thriller. Unfortunately, it was about 450 pages. Either the writer or the editor is at fault; either way, this book should have been seriously tightened up before publication. This is a shame as some of the writing is superb.

The sequel to The Watchers brings us back to characters we have grown to love, Harper & Katharine and introduces new personalities which contribute to an equally compelling plot. I found this impossible to put down and read it in a few days! More history of the Cathars, the Watchers and their evil counterparts, form a past-paced and intriguing novel. The cliff-hanger ending will make the 3rd novel a must read.
