Nothing complicated, just a great place to start watching French Cinema.2 movie set of Jean de Florette #1 and Manon #2.Can be watched individually, but are great as a pair, Tragedy and Revenge. The cast is first class and you soon forget about subtitles. Visually beautiful. If these 2 are a little too serious, try the movie set of My Father's Glory and My Mother's Castle

One of my favorite movies. I can watch this every year and still be moved by it. It's pure genius. Gerard Depardieu and Yves Montand in perhaps their best roles.

Great movie. I'm surprised it came out now. Check out the sequel: Mino de source - something like that.
