Comedy legend Peter Sellers portrays Sir Guy Grand, the richest man in the world. One day he whimsically adopts a young homeless man who he happens to meet by chance during a stroll in the park. Together they set off on a series of madcap escapades and comically attack the snobbery and hypocrisy of modern society as they go from one hilarious misadventure to another. Featured are Paul McCartney's hit song Come and Get It and the Monty Python regulars adding their own quirky brand of hilarity.

A "play in the background of a party movie", complete with retro-cool music. Less a conventional film than a series of sketches in the Goon Show/Monty Python mold, The Magic Christian is suitable for anyone in the mood to watch the dissolution of western civilization, as many people were in the late 1960s. The humour is of variable quality, and Ringo Starr still can't act, but Peter Sellers manages to make a character out of virtually nothing. Watch for Spike Milligan in one of the better sketches.

This movie is terrible, but you kind of need to see it anyway. It stars Peter Sellers and Ringo Starr, was based on a book by cult writer Terry Southern, and features Badfinger on the soundtrack, including the song "Come and Get It," written by Paul McCartney. A relic of late 60s psychedelic madness.

See this film if you've ever been curious to know just how weirdly gonzo Hollywood moviemaking had become by the late sixties. Very amusing stuff if you're in the mood for very offbeat comedy and really like Peter Sellers and/or Ringo Starr.
